Delivering Quality Water for a Sustainable Future

The Ranchos de Placitas Sanitation District operates a 100% groundwater community water system, serving an estimated 374 year-round residents through 115 service connections. Water is drawn from three wells and treated right at the source using a proven disinfection method to keep it safe. It then flows into our 50,000-gallon storage tank — the highest point in the system — where it rests just long enough to be fully treated before gravity carries it down through pipes to homes throughout the district.
